The breed

The Shetland Sheepdog, often called the Sheltie, is a small to medium-sized herding dog with a refined, collie-like appearance. It has a long, dense double coat, usually seen in sable, black, or blue merle with white markings. Its wedge-shaped head, alert ears, bright eyes, and full mane give it an elegant, expressive look.

Shelties are known for being intelligent, lively, and attentive. They often form strong bonds with their families and tend to be affectionate and responsive. Naturally watchful and vocal, they may be reserved around unfamiliar people but are generally gentle and eager to please. Their herding heritage contributes to their quick reactions and observant nature.

Are you looking for a small, active companion to join you on walks and learn fun activities? Consider a Shetland Sheepdog for that.
