The breed

The Shih Tzu is a small, sturdy toy dog with a distinctive long, flowing double coat that may come in many colors and patterns. Its round head, large dark eyes, short muzzle, and feathery tail carried over the back give it a notably charming, regal appearance. Some Shih Tzus wear their coat long, while others have it trimmed into a shorter, plush style.

Shih Tzus are generally affectionate, lively, and companion-oriented. They often enjoy being near people and can be playful without being overly boisterous. Their confident, friendly manner is frequently paired with a touch of independence and a dignified expression. Although small, they tend to have a bright, spirited personality and are known for their warm, engaging presence.

Are you looking for a small companion to share your home and keep you company? Consider a Shih Tzu for that cheerful, people-focused role.
