The breed

German Shepherds are medium-large, athletic dogs with a strong, balanced build and an alert, wolf-like expression. They usually have erect ears, a long muzzle, and a bushy tail carried low at rest. Their double coat may be short or long and comes in colors such as black and tan, sable, solid black, and bi-color. Their movement is often described as smooth and purposeful.

Known for intelligence and loyalty, German Shepherds are typically confident, attentive, and highly responsive to their families. They are often reserved around unfamiliar people but can be affectionate and playful with those they know well. Their strong working background contributes to a focused, courageous nature, and many are noted for their willingness to learn and their protective instincts.

Are you looking for a capable companion for training, active outings, and watchful work? Consider a German Shepherd for that role.
