My Definition of a Healthy Pet

healthy pet

What is the definition of a healthy pet? We all strive or hope to find a health level for pets that would omit pain and suffering. All of us worry whenever we see anything that appears to be suffering. We all believe through today’s technology, research and availability to access these tools that we should be able to do something. While there is a plethora of information available describing hundreds if not thousands of diseases, is there really a disease at hand, or can it be a symptom of something else?

Healthy Pets

Today, education, marketing, indoctrination, policies, and other man-made influences dictate our opinions and beliefs about what is healthy and how to achieve it. When something seems unusual to us, we are taught to seek the expertise of medical professionals and accept their advice as truth.

We need to understand a few basics for this discussion. Health is not about medicine and medicine does not create health. Health is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” This is actually a natural state of being. It also includes understanding what the natural behavior of our pets would be.

Healthy PetDisease has two basic causes, deficiency and toxicity. Medical professionals describe disease as a series of symptoms, then prescribe medications, procedures, and other therapies that often mask the symptoms and provide temporary relief. They rarely focus on finding and solving the original causes. The diagnosis of the actual causes would actually lead to a real treatment plan that would create a health condition and eliminate the long-term use of prescription drugs and therapies. This is the goal of achieving health.

The Modern World of Chemicals

While we prefer to stay healthy in the most natural way, our modern world has made this most difficult. Farmers spray and apply chemicals to crops, often using genetically modified seeds and additional chemicals to support their growth. These chemically treated crops become food for livestock, passing toxins into the animals we eventually consume. As a result, both we and our pets ingest these chemicals and additives through our daily diets.

Healthy Pet Education

Health can only be achieved by taking charge of our own life and also those furry creatures lives that we have accepted to care for. We must educate ourselves on issues such as their natural behavior, diet and lifestyle. Dogs are pack animals; cats are mostly colonies. Birds can be solitary family units or flocks. Our understanding is paramount. It is imperative to determine their specific species appropriate diet and obtain those special nutrients and foods that are essential to their well-being.

The true measure of health is to enjoy your life in the most natural way possible, free of drugs, sourcing only natural nutrients, not chemically based or altered supplements and synthetic vitamins. This will result in the true natural health we seek for our pets and ourselves. My passion, as a pet nutritionist, is the well-being of pets, and I am here to help guide you in any way needed.

  1. Hi there.
petworks.com, Thanks for the time and heart you put into posting and moderating.

I recently published my ebooks and training videos.

I enjoy using the Petworks booking platform for pet care services. The best pet care platform I’ve seen.

They feel like a rare find for anyone interested in hospitality management and tourism. These ebooks and videos have already been welcomed and found very useful by students in Russia, the USA, France, the UK, Australia, Spain, and Vietnam—helping learners and professionals strengthen their real hotel reception skills. I believe visitors and readers here might also find them practical and inspiring.
Unlike many resources that stay only on theory, this ebook and training video set is closely connected to today’s hotel business. It comes with full step-by-step training videos that guide learners through real front desk guest service situations—showing exactly how to welcome, assist, and serve hotel guests in a professional way. That’s what makes these materials special: they combine academic knowledge with real practice.

I hope the owners of petworks.com, and the readers/visitors of petworks.com, will support my ebooks and training videos so more people can access the information and gain the essential skills needed to become a professional hotel receptionist in any hotel or resort worldwide.

Wishing you continued success with your site—truly.
