The breed

The Scottish Terrier is a small, sturdy dog with a distinctive, dignified look. It has a compact body, short legs, erect pointed ears, and a long head with bushy eyebrows and a beard. Its wiry double coat is commonly black, wheaten, or brindle, giving the breed a crisp, textured appearance. Despite its size, the Scottie has a strong, purposeful outline.

Scottish Terriers are often described as confident, independent, and spirited. They tend to be loyal and affectionate with their families, while sometimes reserved around unfamiliar people. Alert and observant, they carry themselves with a bold, self-assured manner. Their lively personality and serious expression have earned them a reputation as little dogs with a great deal of character.

Are you looking for a small, watchful companion with a bold presence at home? Consider a Scottish Terrier for that role.
