The breed

The English Setter is an elegant, medium-to-large sporting dog with a graceful, athletic build. Its silky, feathered coat is usually white with distinctive flecked markings called belton, which may appear in orange, blue, lemon, liver, or tricolor patterns. Long, low-set ears, a refined head, and a flowing tail give the breed a particularly polished appearance.

English Setters are generally gentle, affectionate, and friendly dogs with an enthusiastic, playful nature. They are often sociable with people and can be especially devoted to their families. Bred as bird dogs, they tend to be alert, energetic, and interested in scents and outdoor activity. Their sensitive, good-natured temperament is often paired with an independent streak.

Are you looking for a hunting companion to work in the field with you? Consider an English Setter for that role.
