Cane Corso

The breed

The Cane Corso is a large, powerful Italian mastiff with a muscular, athletic build and a broad head. Its short, dense coat comes in colors such as black, gray, fawn, red, and brindle, sometimes with small white markings. The breed has an alert expression, strong jaw, deep chest, and an overall dignified, imposing presence.

Cane Corsos are generally confident, intelligent, and deeply devoted to their families. They are often calm and affectionate with familiar people while remaining naturally watchful around strangers. Their protective instincts, courage, and steady temperament have made them respected as capable guardians. Despite their serious appearance, many are playful and enjoy close companionship with the people they trust.
