Luna’s Journey: A Tale of Resilience, Love, and Lots of Begging for Treats. Four years ago, a sweet, wide-eyed puppy named Luna entered the world of rescue in Colorado. She was found in need of a loving home, but life threw her an unexpected curveball. Early on, Luna began struggling to keep her food down. What started as simple mealtime troubles turned into a journey filled with vet visits, specialists, and a hefty dose of love and determination.
Thanks to the amazing rescue that saved her, and with the support of generous donations, Luna’s condition was finally diagnosed: esophageal dysmotility disorder. Similar to megaesophagus but a bit more manageable, Luna’s condition requires some extra canine nutrition care to keep her healthy. Mealtime now takes place in a specially made high chair, which helps her swallow her food properly. She also takes medications to prevent serious illnesses, like the aspirate pneumonia she’s bravely battled three times.
Despite these challenges, Luna is a bundle of joy with a heart as big as her appetite. She adores Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach food, yogurt, and treats…and has mastered the art of begging for her favorites. Her puppy-dog eyes are impossible to resist, especially when she’s asking for one more bite.
At home, Luna shares her life with two other rescue dogs, keeping her humans constantly on their toes. Together, this furry trio brings endless love and chaos to the household. Luna, with her goofy grins and sweet nature, is the heart of the pack. She has a special fondness for children and lights up whenever she’s around them, proving that her love knows no bounds.
