Pug

The breed

Pugs are small, sturdy dogs with a compact, square build and a distinctive wrinkled face. They have large, dark, expressive eyes, a short flat muzzle, small folded ears, and a tightly curled tail. Their smooth, glossy coat is usually fawn with a black mask or solid black. Despite their small size, Pugs often have a surprisingly solid, muscular appearance.

Pugs are generally affectionate, sociable, and playful companions. They tend to enjoy being close to people and are often known for their humorous expressions and lively personalities. Many are friendly with visitors and other pets, though individuals vary. Pugs can be cheerful and energetic in short bursts, but they also enjoy relaxing beside their favorite people.
