The breed

The Miniature Pinscher is a small, sleek dog with a compact, square-built body and a confident, alert expression. Its short, smooth coat is commonly black and rust, chocolate and rust, red, or stag red. The breed has a proud carriage, high-stepping gait, and naturally lively presence. Ears may stand upright or fold over, while the tail is often carried high.

Often called the “King of Toys,” the Miniature Pinscher is spirited, bold, and full of personality. These dogs are usually curious, energetic, and quick to notice activity around them. They can be affectionate and entertaining with their families, yet may also be independent and determined. Their fearless attitude often makes them seem much larger than they are.

Are you looking for a small, lively watchdog to keep up with an active household? Consider the Miniature Pinscher for that role.
