The breed

The Keeshond is a medium-sized, sturdy spitz-type dog with a thick double coat, a curled plume-like tail, and a foxlike face. Its distinctive coloring combines gray, black, and cream, often with dark “spectacles” around the eyes. The coat forms a noticeable ruff around the neck, giving the breed a plush, expressive appearance.

Keeshonden are generally known for being friendly, alert, and affectionate companions. They are often sociable with people and enjoy being involved in household activity. Bright and observant, they can be lively without being overly intense, and their cheerful expression matches their reputation as devoted, people-oriented dogs.

Are you looking for an alert companion to keep watch and join family activities? Consider a Keeshond for that role.
