The breed

The Gordon Setter is a large, athletic sporting dog with a sturdy, elegant build. Its coat is medium to long, silky, and usually black with rich tan markings on the face, chest, legs, and tail. Long feathering on the ears, legs, belly, and tail gives the breed a distinctive, refined look. Its dark eyes and dignified expression add to its noble appearance.

Gordon Setters are known for being loyal, intelligent, and affectionate with their families. They tend to be confident and determined, with an energetic nature that reflects their history as bird dogs. Often playful and devoted, they may be reserved with unfamiliar people at first but are generally warm once comfortable. They are also recognized for their strong focus and spirited personality.

Are you looking for a hunting companion to work in the field with you? Consider the Gordon Setter for that role.
