Chinese Crested

The breed

The Chinese Crested is a small, elegant toy dog known for its distinctive appearance. The Hairless variety has smooth, soft skin with flowing hair on the head, feet, and tail, while the Powderpuff variety is covered in a fine, silky double coat. Both types have slender bodies, graceful movement, large expressive eyes, and alert, upright ears.

Chinese Cresteds are generally affectionate, lively, and sensitive companions. They often form close bonds with their families and enjoy attention, play, and being near their favorite people. Many are cheerful and entertaining, with a gentle, sometimes mischievous personality. Though often reserved around strangers at first, they are usually bright, social dogs with a playful spirit.
