Brittany

The breed

The Brittany is a medium-sized sporting dog with a compact, athletic build and an alert, eager expression. Its coat is usually flat or lightly wavy and comes in combinations of orange and white or liver and white, sometimes with roan or ticking. Brittanys have expressive eyes, high-set ears, and a naturally short or docked-looking tail, though tail length can vary.

Known for being lively, affectionate, and intelligent, the Brittany is an enthusiastic, people-oriented breed. It is often described as sensitive and responsive, with a strong desire to work and stay engaged. Brittanys are especially well known for their energetic nature and keen bird-dog instincts, combining cheerful companionship with focused sporting ability.
