I am a Certified Clinical Pet Nutritionist with nearly two decades of experience in pet nutrition. My approach combines functional nutrition, individualized diet assessment, fresh-food principles and professional diet formulation to create recommendations that are both nutritionally thoughtful and realistic for everyday life.

There is no single "perfect diet" for every dog or cat.
Age, weight, activity level, medical history, digestion, food preferences and what is realistic for your household all matter.
Depending on your pet's needs, recommendations may include:

You do not have to become a full-time pet-food chef to improve your pet's nutrition.
CUSTOM HOME-PREPARED RECIPES
When a custom diet is appropriate, I formulate recipes specifically for your pet using professional diet-formulation software.
Your recipes are evaluated for much more than protein and calories. I look at the overall nutritional balance, including essential fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and your pet's individual calorie requirements.
Recipes are created around your pet's:
• Age and life stage
• Current and ideal weight
• Medical history
• Veterinarian-diagnosed conditions
• Food sensitivities and preferences
• Ingredients you can realistically purchase and prepare
When supplementation is needed to make a homemade diet nutritionally complete, I explain what is necessary and why. My goal is always to keep the plan as practical as possible.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF CONSULTATION
My Petworks consultations are completed through detailed written communication rather than scheduled phone or Zoom appointments.
This is intentional.
Instead of spending your consultation watching a clock, I can use that time reviewing your pet's diet, health history, medications, supplements, veterinary information and nutritional needs.
You receive a detailed written nutrition plan you can keep, refer back to and share with your veterinarian if desired.
Follow-up questions are welcomed by email.
I do not diagnose disease or replace veterinary care. My role is to provide individualized nutritional support using the diagnosis, medical history and information you and your veterinary team already have.
FRESH-FOOD FORWARD — WITHOUT A ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL APPROACH
I believe strongly in fresh, minimally processed, nutrient-dense food, but I also believe the diet has to work for both the pet and the family.
Some clients want a completely home-prepared diet. Others simply need help finding a better commercial food or improving what they are already feeding.

Includes a personalized review of your pet’s current food, treats and supplements, along with recommendations for better commercial foods, fresh-food additions and targeted supplements when appropriate.
You’ll receive a written nutrition plan with clear, practical next steps based on your pet’s age, weight, lifestyle and individual needs.
Custom homemade recipes are not included in this package.
Best for: Pet parents who want to transition to a balanced home-prepared diet or significantly improve their pet’s current nutrition.
Includes a comprehensive review of your pet’s diet and nutritional needs, a personalized written nutrition plan, supplement guidance, feeding amounts and two custom home-prepared recipes formulated specifically for your pet using professional diet-formulation software.
Recipes are tailored to your pet’s age, weight, calorie needs, food preferences and life stage.
For pets with significant diagnosed medical conditions, please select the Complex Condition Plan.
Best for: Pets with veterinarian-diagnosed conditions requiring more detailed nutritional management, such as kidney or liver disease, pancreatitis, GI/IBD concerns, urinary/crystal issues, multiple food sensitivities or overlapping health concerns.
Includes an in-depth review of your pet’s diet, health history, relevant veterinary information, medications and supplements, plus a detailed nutrition plan and two individually formulated home-prepared recipes.
Additional research and condition-specific nutritional adjustments are included to create a practical plan tailored to your pet’s unique needs.
For existing clients who have already completed a nutrition consultation with me.
Choose this option when your pet’s existing plan requires a meaningful update due to new lab results, weight changes, a new diagnosis, ingredient changes, supplement changes or recipe reformulation.
I will review the new information and make appropriate adjustments to your existing nutrition plan or recipe.
Simple clarification questions about your original plan remain part of your consultation and do not require this service.
