As an award-winning artist, as well as a dog-mom, I enjoy creating realistic original art portraits of your treasured pets. I work from your photos for reference, and I use pastel pencil or acrylic paint to render lifelike pet portraits of dogs, cats, or horses.

First, I like to see your photos, and hear about what kind of portrait you envision. Together, we decide on the details, which I write up to assure we are on the same page. Then I produce a digital mockup of how the artwork would look. Once we are in agreement, I ask for a deposit to begin the work. Portraits can take 2-6 weeks. Once the artwork is complete and you approve it, the final payment is due. I package your portrait securely, and send it to you, insured, with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Standard 11" x 14" portrait

$ 400.00 Per Portrait

11" x 14" head and neck portrait. Choice of pastel or acrylic painting. Deposit of $200 required and remaining balance is due upon completion. *Additional elements such as a toys, bandanas, or additional pet will involve additional cost. **Price does not include framing, applicable sales tax, or shipping. ***Acceptance of the booking depends on suitability of reference photographs from client.

Standard 16" x 20" portrait

$ 500.00 Per Portrait

16" x 20" head and neck portrait. Choice of pastel or acrylic painting. Deposit of $200 required and remaining balance is due upon completion. *Additional elements like toys, bandanas, or additional animals will involve additional cost. **This price does not include framing, any applicable taxes, or shipping. ***Acceptance of the booking depends on suitability of photographs from client.

Casual portrait

$ 250.00 Per Portrait

This 8" x 8" head and neck portrait is priced for the budget conscious client, and is a less formal, more contemporary portrait. A deposit of $125 is required, and the remaining balance is due upon completion. *Price does not include extra elements, framing, sales tax or shipping. **Booking is subject to suitability of reference photos from client.

Deposit for $400 portraits and $500 portraits

$ 200.00 Per Portrait

This is the deposit on a $400 portrait (such as an 11" x 14" head and neck, no background portrait). This is a non-refundable deposit which is deducted from the total. The remaining balance will be due upon completion of the portrait.

Anywhere in the United States. My clients span every state, as I receive photos and send previews by email, and ship anywhere.

I have over 10 years of experience creating pet portraits and painting wildlife, entering competitions and winning awards for my artwork.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Taking good photos of pets can be a challenge, but it can also be a lot of fun for you and your pet. Start with good lighting. Don't let the phone or camera hide your eyes from your pet. Step back and zoom in, so you don't get distortion from being too close. And don't forget the treats! Take lots of photos and make happy memories.
