Private Dog Training and Canine Behavior - Bristow, OK

Member since Feb 2020

I Went to NK9 in Columbus, OH. Learned the basics of a good dog foundation which is the primary base for all dogs to learn unfortunately not all owners are aware of how to provide it for their dogs therefore we have issues which could had been avoided. I work with training and behavior to help your dog to be a well mannered family member. Most of the issues are very simple to avoid. Working with puppies and their owners is a way to give the gift of a lifetime rewarding relationship between dog and human. Understanding what we want from our dog and helping to fulfill the needs we can have a more calm and balance dog into our homes. Providing some exercise when we are not home is also something i can provide by taking your dog for a walk or just simply dog sitting but providing some energy release in a positive way and always consulting with owners as is something they have to work and provide when they are home...Looking forward to working with you. Please contact and book me on Petworks. Thanks.

Recommended Certifications for Dog Trainers

When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.

For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Martha Reyes, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
