**Certified Dog Trainer, Clicker Trainer & Canine Behaviour Consultant in Vaughan, Ontario**

At Tails of Calm, I believe that successful dog training begins with understanding, communication, and emotional safety, not intimidation, punishment, or forced compliance.

I am a certified dog trainer, clicker trainer, and canine behaviour consultant specializing in humane, science-informed, reward-based training. I serve Vaughan, Maple, Richmond Hill, Toronto, and surrounding communities.

My approach focuses on helping dogs develop confidence, competence, and the ability to navigate their world successfully. Rather than simply teaching dogs to obey commands, I work with guardians to understand the emotions, motivations, and learning experiences underlying their dogs' behaviour.

**Areas of support include:**

- Fear, anxiety, and confidence building
- Resource guarding
- Reactivity and challenging behaviours
- Cooperative care and handling
- Puppy development and socialization
- House-training and elimination challenges
- Building communication and strengthening the human-dog relationship

My work emphasizes positive reinforcement, informed choice, predictable interactions, and respect for each dog's individual needs. I help guardians recognize their dogs' communication, create opportunities for successful learning, and build relationships founded on trust.

**The goal is not compliance under pressure. It is competence through understanding.**

I offer personalized, in-home behaviour consultations and training, along with a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your dog's individual needs.

⭐ Work One-on-One with Kamelia Miri — Certified Animal Behaviorist

If your pet is struggling with anxiety, aggression, reactivity, or other complex behavioral challenges, Kamelia offers private virtual consultations for pet parents in Maple, Ontario, and surrounding areas including Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Brampton, Mississauga, Newmarket, Aurora, Pickering, Ajax. Because sessions are conducted entirely online, your pet stays in their natural environment — the exact place where most problem behaviors occur — giving Kamelia a clearer, more accurate picture of what's really going on.

Why a Behavioral Consultation Is Different

A general pet trainer focuses on commands and obedience. Kamelia goes deeper — identifying and addressing the root cause of complex behaviors rooted in fear, anxiety, or trauma. This isn't basic training. It's a personalized, science-based plan built around your pet's specific history, triggers, and needs. If training alone hasn't worked, a behavioral consultation could be the turning point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be located in Maple to work with Kamelia?
No. Sessions are conducted entirely online, so you can book from anywhere in Ontario or across the country.

Are virtual sessions as effective as in-person visits? In many cases, yes — and often more so. Pets tend to show their true behaviors at home rather than in a clinic or with a stranger present. A virtual session gives Kamelia a more accurate window into your pet's world.

What do I need for a virtual session? Just a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and a stable internet connection.

❤️ Behind every anxious or reactive pet is an animal that deserves to feel safe — and an owner who deserves to feel hopeful again. Take the first step toward a more peaceful home and book a consultation with Kamelia today.
