The breed

The Weimaraner is a sleek, athletic dog known for its distinctive silver-gray coat and pale amber, blue-gray, or gray eyes. It has a long, elegant head, dropped ears, a deep chest, and a lean but muscular build designed for speed and endurance. Most have a short, smooth coat, though a longer-haired variety also exists.

Weimaraners are generally intelligent, energetic, and highly people-oriented. They are often affectionate and loyal with their families, sometimes earning the nickname “gray ghost” for their close attachment to their favorite people. Alert and confident, they can be enthusiastic, playful, and determined, with a strong sporting-dog heritage.

Are you looking for a hunting companion to work in the field with you? Consider a Weimaraner for an active partner that enjoys having a job.
