The breed

Spitz-type dogs are known for their foxlike faces, pointed ears, curled or plumed tails, and thick double coats. They range widely in size, from small companion dogs to larger northern working breeds, but many share a compact, alert outline and a bright expression. Coat colors and markings vary by breed, with white, black, gray, red, cream, and mixed patterns all common.

In temperament, Spitz dogs are often lively, intelligent, and watchful. Many are strongly attached to their families and may be naturally reserved or vocal around unfamiliar people. Their energetic, independent character can make them entertaining and confident companions, while their alertness reflects the working heritage found in many members of the Spitz group.

Are you looking for a watchful companion to keep you company on daily adventures? Consider the Spitz for this role.
