The breed

The Pekingese is a small, sturdy toy dog with a distinctive lion-like appearance. It has a broad head, short muzzle, large dark eyes, and long, flowing double coat that forms a mane around the neck. Its body is compact and low to the ground, with feathering on the ears, legs, and tail. Pekingese come in many colors and patterns.

This breed is often described as dignified, confident, and devoted to its favorite people. Pekingese can be affectionate and playful, but they also tend to be independent and self-important in character. They are usually alert and may be reserved around unfamiliar people, while showing a surprisingly bold personality for such a small dog.

Are you looking for a small companion to relax beside you at home? Consider a Pekingese for that role.
