The breed

The Mexican Hairless, also called the Xoloitzcuintli or Xolo, is an ancient Mexican breed known for its smooth, largely hairless skin. It comes in toy, miniature, and standard sizes, with a lean, elegant body, long neck, upright ears, and almond-shaped eyes. Skin colors include black, gray, red, bronze, and mottled shades. Some Xolos have a short, close coat rather than bare skin.

Mexican Hairless dogs are typically calm, alert, and deeply devoted to their families. They are often reserved around unfamiliar people but affectionate and gentle with those they know well. Intelligent and observant, they tend to be watchful without being overly noisy. Their personality is often described as dignified, sensitive, and companionable.

Are you looking for an alert companion that enjoys staying close to home and watching over the household? Consider the Mexican Hairless for that role.
