The breed

The Lakeland Terrier is a small, sturdy terrier with a compact body, long legs, and an alert expression. Its distinctive coat is hard and wiry on the outside with a softer undercoat, often seen in colors such as black, wheaten, red, blue, liver, or grizzle. The head is narrow and rectangular, with folded V-shaped ears and bright, watchful eyes.

Originally developed in England’s Lake District, the Lakeland Terrier is lively, bold, and intelligent. It tends to be cheerful and affectionate with its family while retaining the confident, independent nature typical of terriers. Curious and energetic, it enjoys activity and may be quick to investigate anything unfamiliar.

Are you looking for a small, spirited companion for active days and countryside adventures? Consider the Lakeland Terrier for that role.
