Cavachon

The breed

The Cavachon is a small companion dog created from Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise heritage. It typically has a soft, medium-length coat that may be wavy or loosely curled, often in white with tan, black, apricot, or chestnut markings. Its rounded face, dark expressive eyes, floppy ears, and compact body give it a notably gentle, teddy-bear-like appearance.

Cavachons are generally affectionate, cheerful, and people-oriented. They often enjoy being close to family members and can be playful without being overly intense. Many are friendly with children, visitors, and other pets when well socialized. Their temperament commonly combines the Cavalier’s sweetness with the Bichon Frise’s lively, clownish charm, making them bright, sociable little dogs.
