Yes. You can offer in-home or on-site sessions within a service radius you set, virtual sessions with pet parents anywhere, or both from the same account.

Do I set my own dog training rates and packages?

You do. Build your own packages - single sessions, multi-session programs, board and train - and set the price for each. Pet parents book and pay on PetWorks, and your earnings are paid out to your bank.

How much does it cost to list my dog training business?

Accepted Answer

Pro membership is free once you're approved. Optional Featured and Premium subscription upgrades are paid. When a pet parent books training through PetWorks, we withhold 15% as a booking fee (e.g. on a $100 session, you receive $85). On bigger programs like board and train, the fee is 15% on the first $1,000 + 3% on every dollar over $1,000.

How do I get dog training clients on PetWorks?

A pet parent finds your listing, picks one of your packages, and pays for it up front, and the booking arrives in your PetWorks inbox with their dog's details and what they need help with. You confirm, run the session in person or virtually, and mark the booking complete when you are done. For a behavior case you need to assess before you can price it, send a custom quote instead. When do I get paid?

When a pet parent pays - whether they book a package or pay a custom quote - their card is charged through Stripe and your earnings are paid out to your bank automatically. Funds often arrive within a few business days; your first payout may take longer while Stripe verifies your account. Premium members with instant payouts may receive funds sooner.

How do pet parents pay me?

Once you enroll in online payments, pet parents book you online using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, and Klarna. Our payments are powered by Stripe.

What areas can I offer dog training in?

Accepted Answer

PetWorks covers the United States and Canada. For in-person work you set a service radius so you only hear from pet parents you can reach; virtual sessions have no radius, so you can take those clients anywhere we operate.

Accepted Answer

Because pet parents come here for a trainer who will actually work with their dog, not a franchise that assigns them one - and they arrive ready to book. You set your own packages and prices, keep the relationship with the client, and get paid through the platform.

How do pet parents find PetWorks?

Accepted Answer

Mostly Google and ChatGPT. A pet parent searches for what they need - "pet transport to Florida", "animal chiropractor near me" - and a PetWorks category or listing page comes up, or they ask an AI assistant to help them find a pro and it sends them here. Either way they arrive already looking to hire, which is why your photos, your description, and your reviews do so much of the work once they land on your listing.

Can I join PetWorks without using your payment system?

You cannot list your pet care services with PetWorks without enrolling in our payment system.

Can I create a listing if I'm not in the U.S.?

Yes, if you're in Canada! We currently welcome pet pros and pet parents in the United States and Canada. For this reason, we're only looking for pet lovers in the U.S. and Canada to join us (for now!)
