Wells Pet Nutrition- Certified Pet Nutrition Counselor - Nationwide
Hi, I'm Lori Wells‑Bauer, Certified Pet Nutrition Counselor with 15+ years of experience guiding pet parents in crafting custom home‑cooked and balanced diet plans for dogs and cats for both disease management or for a specific life stage. As a mother and animal lover, I'm dedicated to supporting what truly matters—your pet's long-term health and vitality."
As a Certified Pet Nutrition Counselor (CIVT), I’ve had the honor of working with hundreds of dog and cat guardians—from playful puppies and kittens to seniors, managing chronic conditions. My mission is to help you find the right diet for your pet, no matter their age, activity level, or veterinary diagnosis.
I specialize in:
1) Disease management through nutrition and herbal therapies
2) Balanced home-cooked diets (puppy/kitten, adult, senior)
3) Tailored support for raw, freeze-dried, dehydrated, and premium commercial diets, based on your budget, schedule, and lifestyle
I believe your pet already holds the blueprint for optimal health. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that fills nutritional gaps, reduces inflammation, and activates your pet’s natural healing processes. Each client receives a custom diet and supplement protocol—no one-size-fits-all advice here.
But it doesn’t stop at food. I also provide:
1) Healthy treat and chew suggestions
2) Puzzle toy and enrichment ideas
3) Recommendations for integrative therapies like acupuncture, chiropractic, or herbal support
4) Real-world advice tailored to you and your pet’s routine
For home-cooked diets, I don’t just offer one or two recipes. My clients receive a comprehensive home-cooking guide—with variations to keep mealtime exciting and adaptable based on seasonal ingredients or preferences—while keeping their pet’s diet balanced long term.
When you choose to work with me, you’re not just getting a one-time consultation. You’re gaining a trusted partner for the life of your pet—and beyond. I’m here to walk this journey with you, through all the changes, challenges, and celebrations.
Our pets are our family. They deserve the best. I'm here to support you in giving it to them—so they can thrive and share many vibrant years by your side.

- Lori BauerLori is amazing!! I had been spinning for months about my cat getting hotspots and loose stools- with no answers from the vets. I was so stressed cutting out foods and trying to test for allergies (none of which were accurate). I finally decided to seek out a pet nutritionist, and im so glad I found Lori. Before we even met for the appointment, she pretty much knew what was wrong, so my stress diminished within minutes of our consultation. Sure enough her assessment of the problem and the prescription diet she provided, was the solution my cat needed to recover! Lori is so warm, kind, supportive of my desire to go raw and encourages I trust my own instinct. If you care about a nutritional / holistic approach to caring for your pet, Lori is very knowledgeable and gives excellent guidance no matter what diet or budget you want to work with. I’ll be keeping her in my arsenal for the long haul. I’m so grateful to no longer feel alone when treating my cat’s issues.
