Space Coast Private Dog Trainer - Merritt Island, FL
Here at Space Coast Dog Trainer I specialize in training your dog to be the dog of your dreams! I serve the entire state of Florida with my Board and Train program. I come and pick up your dog at a convenient predetermined time. Your dog will live with me, in my home for a minimum of 21 days. During your dogs stay with me the dog will be trained to become the forever family member you always desired.
Problem behaviors like excessive barking, bolting out open doors, destructive chewing, counter surfing, jumping on guest and any other problem behaviors will be addressed. Problem behaviors are not only addressed in my home, but they are addressed out in public spaces like stores and restaurants!
After your dog is trained to the predetermined standard (Usually 12-20 off leash commands), I return your dog to your home. I provide a take home lesson where I teach you how to get the desired behaviors from your dog in your home.
Please remember, 21 days is the minimum stay. You are paying me for a standard of behavior from your dog, not for a timeframe. So, even if your dog needs to stay with me 35 days to learn the desired behaviors, the price does not change!
Another benefit of my Board and Train program is you have phone/text/email/facetime access to me for the life of the dog! So if the dog develops a problem behavior anytime after the dogs training, just a phone call gets the dog back on track!
Yes, your dog can be the family member you desire! My Board and Train program spots fill up fast, so book your Board and Train now and be on your way to the dog of your dreams! Please contact and book my private dog training services on Petworks. Thank You.

Customer Reviews
Ken Lampp’s knowledge and skill are obvious. I learned so much as I watched him interact with my giant, rambunctious puppy and asked every question I could think of...he has been amazingly responsive and supportive! Reading every book and watching YouTube videos could never train ME; now Paisley Pup & I are well on our way to the best dog experience ever thanks to his guidance and patience. - Merritt Island, FL - September 2025
- Lori BKen did a wonderful job training our rescue puppy Newman!! He had a lot of distraction issues, would escape every time we opened the door and wouldn’t come back, and was hard to control on his leash. Now he comes back when he’s called, he heels and doesn’t go after every distraction on his walks. We highly recommend Ken! He treats your dog like his own, with kindness, love and discipline!

Recommended Certifications for Dog Trainers
When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.
For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Ken Lampp, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
