My name is Justine and I am the Owner/Trainer of Smokey Oaks K9. We are a small training company located in York, SC. Although Smokey Oaks was just founded this year, I have been training dogs for the last 15 years. After moving to the Carolinas from California last year, I decided 2020 was the year for me start my own business!
I believe that dog training is all about creating engagement and forging a bond with your dog. Nothing beats having a relationship with your dog that is founded on trust, understanding, structure, and consistency. I want my dog to work for me because he WANTS to work for me!
I want to help you build a better bond and understanding with your dog through foundational obedience, confidence building, and structure. I believe that many issues with dogs can be addressed by going back to the foundations and working with the dog on impulse control and better decision making skills.
