Best experience ever. We are so thankful for Mark & Angel. The only trainers we trust! My dog Alexa struggles with reactivity, and we live in an apartment where we need to use elevators and shared spaces which was causing us terrible anxiety. They've totally changed our lives with their incredible training and they care so much! We get to even do weekly group classes! Could not recommend them more! - December 2025

In July, my husband and I adopted 2 rescue golden retriever sisters from a breeding situation who had zero training and were out of control - I didn't know what to do and every day was hard for us and them. I did extensive research of several dog training companies and with several texts back and forth with Mark, we knew we had to visit him for a consult. He answered all of my questions, and I had many. Almost in tears, we explained that we had no idea what to do but knew these girls deserved the best life and after Mark explained the process, the work they do, the guarantee, and most importantly - his gentle and firm demeanor with the girls, we knew this was the answer. Fast forward 6 months and we are so thankful and grateful to Mark and Angel! We noticed an almost 100% improvement after only 2 classes with them and now we have the best girls who are calm and happy and adjusted. We did the puppy training (but since they were almost 2 and no training) this was the best suggestion by Mark - start from scratch and we did. We completed the puppy training (day and trains) and now we do the day and tunes and plan to continue these for years!. If it wasn't for Mark and Angel, I am not sure how this would have ended - they are always positive and made us feel comfortable when they were training us too! I know if you are reading this, you are in the same situation we were in, and I don't write these very often, but Mark and Angel are the best and the girls always look forward to going there for their classes and sleep really well that night too! Meet Mark and Angel, listen to them and trust the program. I could not have even imagined the success in such a short amount of time. More importantly too is that they are patient with us and our learning of the program. Did we make some mistakes, yep! But we kept working on the commands and the girls love the structure - they are so happy and goofy, living their best lives. We will continue with the day and tunes for as long as we want, it's a great way also for them to learn some advanced commands. For instance, we are learning how to walk them both at the same time with either myself or my husband, and that is fun. I cannot give Mark and Angel enough credit and gratitude for what they have done and continue to do with the girls. Thank you thank you thank you! We can't thank you enough. - Tampa, Florida - December 2025

When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.

For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Elena Elwart, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
