Richmond Dog Obedience Club - Richmond, VA
The Richmond Dog Obedience Club (RDOC) is a volunteer-driven organization committed to enhancing the bond between pets and their owners through responsible dog ownership and obedience training. We are the only dog obedience club in the Richmond area licensed by the American Kennel Club to conduct obedience trials.
Founded in 1959, RDOC has earned a stellar national reputation for exceptional training. Our program employs positive and humane training techniques while discouraging harsh methods. Many of our members have achieved success in local, national, and international competitions. We invite our trainees to become part of our club, which not only offers classes but also conducts obedience demonstrations for community groups, nursing homes, and schools. Other activities include agility trials, obedience trials, rally trials, seminars, and Canine Good Citizenship Tests.
We believe that responsible dog obedience training is essential for fostering a healthy relationship with your dog. Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month, and we warmly welcome visitors. Thank You.
