Relax Your Dog - Private Canine Training - Denver, CO
I am a seminary educated, science-based, trainer and behavior consultant. I use non-violent practices that are safe, effective, and fun for the family~ whatever your family configuration is! I specialize in over-aroused and anxious dogs who are often misunderstood. Usually when families contact me, they are at least as frustrated as their dogs are, so my first task is to LISTEN and then often I suggest removing some habits and activities that may be contributing to the frequency and intensity of undesirable behaviors. We'll work to earn your dog's trust and ensure your dog feels safe and has fun!
We commit as a team to dialogue, not monologue, and to staying curious about the function of your dog's behavior. (Shame and Blame are not employed!) Behavior happens within a body and many times problematic behaviors can be caused or exacerbated by medical conditions. I refer to a Veterinary Pain/Rehab specialist, Internal Medicine Vets, and
I frequently collaborate with board certified Veterinary Behaviorists if medication is necessary to support your dog's physiological health. We'll try and leave no stone unturned!
My mission is "Creating and Nurturing Trust-based relationships with Dogs and their People!" and my motto is: "Keep Breathing, it probably won't fix anything but it will help just about everything! " (I am also certified in Canine Massage. I am available for creating custom "Welcome" and "Journey On" rituals as well- they can be secular, spiritual, religious according to your traditions and practices). Please contact and book my private dog training services on Petworks. Thank You.

Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.
