We’ve used Melli for pet sitting services for five years and can’t think of using any other service. The dogs and cat love her and trust her which is really important to us as our pets are all rescues and have various issues. Melli is also very responsible, trustworthy and a really good person. With her in place we can relax and enjoy our vacations knowing she will take care of our babies.

Melli is a game-changer! Our dog was a nonstop troublemaker: chewing shoes, begging at the table during every meal, and bolting out the door the second it opened...heart-stopping every time. Many times we've chased him around the neighborhood waving hotdogs. Super embarrassing. Thanks to her those problems are history. No more ruined shoes, no staring and whining for food (he stays in his spot calmly now), and he waits politely at doors without dashing off. Life with him is so much easier and safer for ALL of us! Super knowledgeable, clear instructions, and pretty quick results. If your dog’s got similar bad habits, she’s the one to call. Can't recommend enough!

LIFE CHANGING!! I can’t recommend Mel at Horse & Hearth enough - she truly worked miracles with our dog! Before training, our girl was a handful and making life difficult: constant counter-surfing (she’d steal food off the counters any chance she got), nonstop barking at every little noise or visitor, jumping on people and furniture the second someone walked in, and pulling like crazy on the leash during walks, making outings stressful and no fun. After a week long boot camp all of those behaviors are completely under control (or gone entirely!) She no longer counter-surfs, barks only when there’s a real reason (and even then, it’s manageable), greets people calmly with all four paws on the floor, and walks beautifully on a loose leash. Our home is so much more peaceful, and walks are actually enjoyable now instead of a battle. Mel is knowledgeable, kind, great at explaining things clearly to both us and the dog, and truly cares about building a happy relationship between owners and pets. If you’re struggling with similar issues, do yourself a favor and book with her—you won’t regret it!

Melli was amazing! She was attentive and engaged extensively with my furry friends! Additionally, her communication was thorough and she paid close attention to detail to guarantee my dogs would be safe in her care. I can’t say enough about her!
