Playful Pet Portraits began its journey from an artists' heartfelt desire to paint beautiful works of art that bring joy to pet owner enthusiasts. Rae Marie uses soft pastels on suede board. This special combination allows her to achieve that subtle realism that entices the viewer to reach out and pet the happy furry faces.
Each painting is unique with the client's preference to either bold and bright colors or poetically subdued tones. Each portrait represents someone's furry family member with "that look" that makes them smile. They have been presented as Christmas and Birthday surprises that will be cherished for a lifetime.
