Peacefully at Home Pet Euthanasia Services - West Linda, CA

Member since Mar 2022

Pet euthanasia is a hard enough decision. I provide a stress free alternative to taking your pet to a clinic by performing this service at home. My name is Dr. Megan Dunbar, but most people know me as Dr. Megan or simply Megan. I have lived in the Sacramento Valley for over 35 years and have practiced Veterinary Medicine in Yuba County since 2014. During my time as a veterinarian, I have found that people wish they could end their beloved pet’s life in the comfort of their home. I have devoted my life to the care and comfort of animals and thought that if it was one of my pets, I would want them to transition in the comfort of their home. I provide pet owners the choice to say goodbye in the gentlest and most caring way possible.

I have been a veterinarian since 2014 and have been providing in home pet euthanasia since 2017.

Please contact and book me on Petworks. Thank you.

🦔 Compassionate In-Home Pet Euthanasia by Megan Dunbar

When the time comes to say goodbye, where it happens matters. Megan comes to your home so your dog or cat can pass peacefully in a familiar, loving environment — surrounded by the sights, smells, and people they know.

Megan provides gentle, respectful in-home pet euthanasia in West Linda, CA, serving pet parents throughout Yuba County and surrounding areas including Yuba City, Marysville, Linda, Olivehurst, Live Oak, Gridley, Oroville, Colusa, Sutter, Williams. Each visit is paced entirely around you and your pet — there is no rush, no cold clinic setting, and no moment spent away from home.

What should I expect during Megan's visit?

When Megan arrives, they will take time to meet you and your pet, answer any questions you have, and ensure you feel comfortable before anything begins. There is no rush.

The visit typically has three stages. First, a sedative is administered to help your pet relax completely — most pets become calm and drowsy within a few minutes. Second, once your pet is fully at ease, the final medication is given. The process is gentle and painless, and your pet will simply drift off to sleep. Third, Megan will confirm the passing and give you as much time as you need to say goodbye. You are welcome to hold your pet, have family members present, or simply sit quietly together. The entire visit is guided entirely by you.
