How did you hone your craft?

I started with Petco and discovered Ian Dunbar’s online academy. I then began working with Wag and Train out of Denver, which was sold and became Star Dog Training later. I left Petco after about 2 1/2 years and began managing a daycare and boarding facility in Boulder, Colorado.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Have fun! If training is frustrating, it’s likely not going to be effective and you’re less likely to be consistent, which is key.
