We are Melanie and Nicholas, a husband-and-wife team of professional pet portrait artists with over 28 years of experience. From our studio in rural Wales, we create hand-drawn and painted portraits of beloved pets for clients all over the world. Every commission is created with care, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the bond between people and their animals.
I specialise in detailed pencil drawings, capturing lifelike textures and expressions in black and white. Nicholas, my husband, creates our traditional oil paintings, using classical techniques to bring pets to life on canvas with warmth and character.
Over the years, we have completed more than 850 portraits, many for returning clients. Each piece is bespoke, based on your favourite photos, and tailored to your wishes. We take pride in offering a personal service from start to finish, whether your portrait is a gift, a memorial tribute, or a celebration of a furry friend’s place in your life.
