Hello everyone. I'm a member of the administration team of the Pandemic Puppy Raising group and owner of Lingo Dog Training. I have experience raising a puppy with a less-than-ideal amount of social interactions (meeting novel people and dogs). When Titan (birthday 09.15.2018) was young I had a shoulder injury (06.17.2019 - 9 months old) that prevented me from taking him anywhere on leash. We live in a rural area and his exposure to town life, new dogs and strange people was limited for four months. I created a training approach that accommodated my limitations (very similar to the social distancing required now). After I healed (09.29.2019 - 4 months injured. 1 year 1 month old), I helped him adjust to close social interactions and novel situations he had not previously been exposed to. He was over a year old by the time my shoulder was stable enough to start this acclimation process. The experience of raising and training Titan, complimented by my 10+ years experience of general puppy training, has put me in a unique position to help puppy raisers during this time of quantine.
I offer remote private lessons that are tailored to the needs and interests of my client. My primary interests are:
1) Puppy Raising - obedience training, manding, house training, good manners, managing puppy biting and chewing, cooperative care handling.
2) Dog Games - introduction to Nosework, Agility, Rally Obedience, canine enrichment through feeding games.
3) Household Manners - skills needed for your dog to be pleasant to live with including basic obedience, manding, cooperative care handling and teaching alternative behaviors to annoying habits you'd like to eliminate from your dog's repertoire.
