The modalities I use are holistic, integrative methods that improve the overall health and wellness of the ones you love:

-- Myofascial release offers pain relief, stimulates the motor nerves, brings relief from restlessness and sleep disturbance, improves proprioception.

-- Craniosacral therapy addresses performance issues, behavior problems, chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, emotional problems.

-- Kinesiology taping supports injured muscles and joints, helps correct biomechanical/postural dysfunction, improves performance and recovery.

-- Cold laser therapy uses low-intensity lasers to stimulate healing at the cellular level. It encourages the production of endorphins while activating signal-blocking nerve cells. (Not included in the bodywork session.)

How did you hone your craft?

I earned my Equine Myo-Functional Therapist and Equine Kinesiology Tape Practitioner certifications working on horses from a variety of backgrounds. Some were rescues, some were companions, others served as mental health therapists. They all brought love and joy into the lives they touched. As I complete my Feline Bodywork Practitioner certification, I'm working mostly with the cats who live at High Country Humane.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

They aren't that different from ourselves. Attend to their mental and emotional health with the same care you bring to their physical needs.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I am an animal lover and have been all my life, with a special affinity for cats and horses. I chose animal bodywork as a way to return the unconditional love and support animals have blessed me with over the years. Nothing is more gratifying than to watch them release their stress and discomfort.

What Lorie Can Help With

Lorie works with pets across a wide range of physical and emotional challenges. Anxiety, fearfulness, and stress-related behaviors are among the most common reasons pet parents seek out a certified healer — and gentle energy work can produce meaningful, lasting calm even in highly reactive or emotionally overwhelmed animals. For aging pets managing chronic pain, reduced vitality, or the challenges of illness, reiki offers a non-invasive way to support comfort and quality of life alongside traditional veterinary care.

Lorie also works with rescue animals and recently rehomed pets — helping them release emotional imprints from difficult past experiences and settle more fully into their new environment. For pets recovering from surgery or injury, reiki can complement the rehabilitation process by supporting the body's natural healing response and reducing stress during recovery. And for families navigating end-of-life transitions, Lorie provides gentle, compassionate support — offering comfort and energetic balance for both the animal and the people who love them.
