Holistic Dog Training - Phoenix, AZ
When your dog’s behavior starts to affect your safety, your home, or your relationship, you need clear answers and a way forward.
I work as a trauma-informed dog behavior consultant, helping you understand what your dog is experiencing beneath behaviors like aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, leash pulling, fearfulness, and multi-dog tension. These are not random problems. They are responses to stress, past experiences, and the current environment.
Through structured virtual assessments, we identify triggers, behavior patterns, and the pressure your dog is under so you can see what is actually driving the behavior.
From there, you get a clear, individualized plan focused on helping your dog feel safe and function better in your home. When we address the right factors, many dogs begin to shift within the first few weeks.
My work is grounded in humane, reward-based learning. Dogs learn faster and retain more when they feel safe, which also improves your connection and reduces daily stress.
I bring over 25 years of hands-on experience with complex behavior cases, supported by certifications through Animal Behavior College and continuing education, and ethical commitment to Pet Professional Guild. I also integrate holistic methods when appropriate to support your dog’s overall state of harmony.
You get accurate assessment, targeted guidance, and ongoing support so you can handle what is in front of you with confidence.

Program to Quinn assessment and behavioral management. Includes Behavior assessment and management session, and two follow up sessions. Includes written transcript, step by step instructions and related educational materials.
This online trauma-informed behavior assessment helps you understand what is driving your dog’s behavior and what to do next.
We focus on real issues that affect your daily life, including aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, leash pulling, fear, and tension in the home.
During the session, we review your dog’s history, environment, and daily routine. When possible, I observe your dog live or review video to see how your dog responds to different situations. This allows me to identify triggers, behavior patterns, and where your dog feels unsafe or overwhelmed.
You will gain a clear understanding of why the behavior is happening and what your dog needs.
From there, you receive targeted guidance with practical steps you can apply right away. This includes safety, management, and changes that help your dog feel more secure and start responding differently.
This is a structured, case-specific assessment, not generic advice. You leave with direction, a plan you can follow, and support to move forward with confidence.

Customer Reviews
I scheduled a session with Roman around a month ago when things were really challenging with my blind, disabled, 11 year old Baladi dog. By the time we got to meet things were much improved, but i wanted to see if we could go even further in improving things with his help. He gave me a different perspective on a few things which was really useful. I found it interesting and would recommend him to anyone who has a traumatized dog. Thank you Roman!
- Emma MRoman's holistic dog training helped me understand my dog's resource guarding, and I hardly ever have any issues now. - Heath, Ohio
- Misty MRoman is amazing. I did not believe in online dog training until l had a lesson with Roman. My dog has car whining problem since he was a puppy. He fixed it in just a lesson. My dog's whining gives everybody headache and makes my anxiety worse. Today, when I drove to work and came back to the house, no more whining when I used his method. My pup and I were smiling in the car, we've never been that relaxed before. He's now looking forward to getting on the car. Roman is so gifted, I thank you God to find him. At first, I thought his prices are high but after fixing the issue just in a lesson, it's actually cheaper and faster than the other trainers / behaviorists. I'm looking forward to having him to fix his leash pulling when my pup is high energy. I'm waiting for another miracle to happen. I regret I did not know him before, and I would hire him to train him for everything.
