Every animal deserves to be approached as an individual, not as a problem to be fixed.

Through Coydog Wellness, I offer compassionate Animal Reiki and intuitive Animal Communication for pets of all species, ages, personalities, and backgrounds. Sessions are designed to honor your pet’s comfort, choices, and boundaries while helping you support their emotional well-being and deepen the relationship you share.

My work is informed by more than 20 years as a professional dog groomer and pet sitter, gaining extensive experience in animal care, behavior, and working closely with pets who are sensitive, fearful, aging, disabled, grieving, or navigating change. As a Usui Reiki Master, I bring together intuitive practice and a grounded, pet-centered understanding of animal behavior and communication. This allows me to best "translate," as well as to make helpful suggestions as appropriate in session reports.

Distance sessions allow your pet to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings without travel, handling, or pressure to interact. Or the excitement or overwhelm that can come with a house-visit! Reiki may be especially welcome during stressful transitions, recovery and veterinary care, household changes, senior life, or end-of-life support. It can also simply offer a quiet opportunity for rest, relaxation, and connection.

Animal Communication may explore your pet’s preferences, emotions, relationships, experiences, or perspective on a situation. I share what I receive honestly, distinguish impressions from established facts, and remain open about uncertainty rather than forcing an answer. I use Reiki to connect with your pet and allow them to share with me.

These services are complementary and are never presented as substitutes for veterinary diagnosis, medical treatment, qualified behavior care, or humane training. I will always encourage appropriate professional support when your pet’s needs call for it.

You do not need to share a particular spiritual belief to work with me - only curiosity, compassion, and respect for your animal as a participant in the process.

I would be honored to support you and your pet!

Session format: This is an asynchronous distance service, so you and your pet do not need to attend a call or video meeting. After completing the intake form, we will confirm the session date through PetWorks messaging. I will conduct the session privately and send your written report through PetWorks afterward.

PS: if your pet's species is not listed in what species I serve yet, please don't hesitate to contact me regardless! This simply means I do not have as much experience connecting with this species. I would love the opportunity to grow my experience while serving you and your pet.

Pricing Packages

Animal Communication & Reiki Session
$ 95.00 Per Session book

Coydog's best package for combined support, with a savings of $30 compared to not bundling.

A combined distance Animal Communication and Reiki session for one animal companion, offering compassionate connection alongside gentle energetic support.

Before the session, I will review your pet’s photograph, intake information, and up to three priority questions or topics. I will begin by respectfully connecting with your pet and receiving any impressions they appear willing to share. I will then offer approximately 20–30 minutes of pet-led Reiki, allowing your animal to choose how closely they engage.

This option may be especially meaningful during household changes, emotional stress, recovery, senior life, grief, end-of-life care, or times when you would like both your pet’s perspective and a quiet opportunity for supportive connection.

Afterward, you will receive a written report through PetWorks covering the communication, Reiki observations, and notable impressions from the session. You may request clarification about something contained in the report.

Animal Communication and Reiki are complementary practices. They do not diagnose illness, guarantee outcomes, verify objective facts, or replace veterinary treatment, emergency care, qualified behavioral support, or humane training.

Your written report will be completed in a timely fashion, but may take more time than the 75 minute total to complete. This is to ensure a detailed, quality report instead of one that is lacking, but "instant." This comes at no additional cost to you.

Distance Animal Reiki Session
$ 55.00 Per Session book

A gentle, individualized distance Reiki session for one animal companion. Your pet may remain comfortably at home and is always free to engage with the session in whatever way feels right to them.

Before the session, I will review your completed intake form and learn about your pet, their circumstances, and your intentions for the session. I will then offer approximately 25–30 minutes of pet-led Reiki, allowing the experience to unfold according to your animal’s comfort and receptivity rather than requiring them to remain still or actively participate.

Following the session, you will receive a written summary of observations and impressions through PetWorks. Your summary may take up to two hours to complete and send.

Reiki may offer supportive space for relaxation, emotional well-being, life transitions, recovery, senior life, grief, or end-of-life care. Experiences vary, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Reiki is a complementary practice and does not diagnose illness or replace veterinary treatment, emergency care, qualified behavioral care, or humane training.

Animal Communication Session
$ 70.00 Per Session book

An individualized distance Animal Communication session for one living or deceased animal companion.

Before the session, you will provide a recent photograph when available, relevant background information, and up to five questions or topics in order of importance. These may concern your pet’s preferences, emotions, experiences, relationships, household changes, or perspective on a situation.

I will approach your pet respectfully and share the words, images, emotions, physical sensations, and other impressions I receive. You will receive a written report through PetWorks summarizing the communication, followed by an opportunity to ask for clarification about something included in the report.

Animal Communication is intuitive and interpretive. I share impressions honestly, distinguish them from established facts, and do not force answers or claim certainty where it does not exist.

This service does not diagnose medical or behavioral conditions, verify objective facts, or replace veterinary care, qualified behavioral support, emergency assistance, or humane training.

60 minute session length includes time to review intake, photos, questions, conduct the session, and write your report. More detailed reports might require more time to complete and send to you, this assurance of quality is not at any additional cost to you.

How did you hone your craft?

I took my passion for and connection with animals to the professional level two decades ago as a pet care professional, and have continually added education and experience. Always interested in force free, compassionate approaches that are pet-first to support pets, their parents, and their connection to each other, I began to study Animal Reiki and Communication. While working toward Reiki Master Certification with Holistic Animal Studies/Angel's Animals, I had many animal friends to help me gain experience, thanks to years of dog grooming and all-species pet sitting. In addition to calming and helping dogs work through grooming associated fears, and providing relaxation and ease for aging, ill, and end-of-life sitting clients, I'm a pet parent myself. Applying behavior knowledge, experience, and the Reiki and Communication I was learning to my own family of animal companions was invaluable. Already particularly gifted in Distance Reiki, my skills were honed further while taming a feral cat and integrating him into the family; working with my highly sensitive cattle dog mix; not invading the space of my cat with anxiety and neurological issues; keeping arthritic, elderly, large breed dogs relaxed and rested for optimal support - not overexciting them with my close presence. Both my extended pet family of clients and my own companions all love their Reiki time, and I love that this gentle energy work is effective whether they choose close physical contact or not! Seeing the results never ceases to uplift and encourage me to help more animals.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Acceptance. Truly knowing and understanding your animal companion is key to having a great relationship, accepting who they are is key to knowing and understanding them. As pet parents, we're unintentionally conditioned all our lives to view our relationship with animals in a rather one-sided way. This doesn't mean that we don't deeply love our pets! But it does mean that we often view them in terms of a mystery we cannot solve, anything problematic they do is something to be fixed. While we should always strive to help our pets live their best lives, giving them the skills and support necessary to do so in our world, our pets are rarely "broken," they're simply a dog being a dog, a cat being a cat, or a horse being a horse. Love, patience, and acceptance allow us the best relationships, and the greatest ability to guide our companions to the happiest, healthiest lives with us.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

It has been my lifelong goal to both have the best relationship with my pets possible and to also help other pet parents do the same. I think that evidence-based knowledge empowers pet parents to do that, and I've dedicated my personal and professional life to educating guardians and demonstrating what's possible while I give pets the environment, interaction, individual support, and tools to thrive, even to overcome traumatic life events. We are all truly blessed to have such wonderful companions in our lives, I want pets and their people to enjoy that to its fullest together! This is definitely how I have ended up with so many animal companions myself, yes. I have the tendency to take in those most in need of extra patience and "work!" Like Coydog Wellness, Coydog Blog, and Coydog Collection mascot, Tater the Australian Cattle Dog and Miniature Australian Shepherd cross. I'm also a cat mom to 4 cats, 2 senior leopard geckos, and a small aquarium of fish, as well as sharing my life with two additional large, senior German Shepherd Dog mix littermates. They all help me help others on their pet parenting journeys!
