How did you hone your craft?
I spent 10 years in animal rescue and foster over 50 dogs / puppies and rescued and rehabilitated 6 of my own personal pets. Professionally I’ve worked as a dog walker, pet sitter and dog/puppy trainer coming up on 5 years and have worked with a wide variety of breeds of all different ages and sizes giving me a solid perspective on dog behavior, obedience and common household behavior issues.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Touch is a human characteristic/trait that we subconsciously apply to our pets but they don’t have the ability to decipher good or bad touch. So when you are touching your dog you are rewarding their behavior whether it’s good or bad.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I am a force free positive reinforcement based trainer. I believe in creating and fostering a relationship and communication with your dog without the use of force or punishment. I’m not a militant style trainer. I want to set my clients and their dogs up for the lifestyle that they want to live not force them into a cookie cutter mold or create unrealistic goals or objectives that will be hard to follow or abide by
