Debbie is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer SA-PRO in the Pittsburgh, PA area. She has been a volunteer and a trainer at a local Animal Shelter for over 15 years. In those years, she became serious about furthering her education in the animal behavior world. Holding a number of certifications, including IAABC-ADT, Fear Free Certified Trainer and a Hernsenwerk Enrichment Mentor. She is currently working on being a certified Treat-ReTreat Mentor and being Certified in Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation.
Working with shy and fearful dogs is Debbie's specialty as well as separation anxiety. She works closely with her clients and coaches them step by step in this process. Always taking the cues from the dogs and never rushing them. Before becoming a Dog Trainer, Debbie worked as a dental hygienist and specialized in helping fearful patients. Being empathetic, compassionate, and respectful has earned her the trust of many clients and dogs alike. Debbie teaches group classes at a local shelter and provides private in-home training in the Pittsburgh area.
