CodaPet In Home Pet Euthanasia - San Diego, CA
I'm Dr. Emi Daniel. I was born and raised in Japan, where I initially pursued a career as a pianist and sound engineer. My journey to veterinary medicine was a bit unconventional, but my love for animals has always been a constant. Growing up in the countryside, I had a variety of pets—from dogs and birds to horn beetles and chipmunks. After some life changes brought me to the U.S., I volunteered at a Texas animal shelter and realized my true calling. I attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed my clinical rotation at Louisiana State University, earning my DVM in 2019.
The experience of saying goodbye to my own beloved pet, Rudy, in the comfort of my home was a turning point for me. It made me realize the incredible gift of helping both people and pets through the end-of-life transition in their own homes. I'm currently enrolling in the Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian certification (CHPV) program to better serve families and their pets in these emotional moments. My goal is to provide comfort, closure, and a sense of peace during this difficult time.
Outside of my veterinary practice, I'm an avid high-altitude climber and mountaineer. After a knee injury ended my long-distance running, I found solace in hiking and have aspirations to climb mountains in the Himalayas one day. I'm also a dachshund and rodent enthusiast. Currently, I'm the proud mom of Mama Bean, a dachshund look-alike, three chinchillas named Kotton, Kandy, and Vanilla, and two hamsters, Cinnabon and Kronut. I understand the deep bond between pets and their owners, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
