Dr. Sherman was in his last year of undergrad and was planning on going to veterinary school for his Doctorate. In that same year, he was in a bad car accident and suffered from a severe sprain/strain injury (Whiplash) which put him in constant pain for almost a year. Finally, his cousin convinced him to go see his Chiropractor and Dr. Sherman’s career plans immediately changed.
His love for animals never changed which led him to pursue a certification in Veterinary Chiropractic. Dr. Sherman will see numerous domestic pets weekly including dogs, cats, horses, and even guinea pigs among others. Conditions treated (just like humans), may include hip dysplasia, myelopathy, limps, arthritis, constipation, and other geriatric conditions.
Dr. Sherman has worked with local aquarium Guf World in Panama City Beach, FL treating Dolphin, Sea Lions, Penguins, and turtles among others.
If it has a spine than they have many of the same conditions that we do and can definitely be treated with a conservative non-invasive treatment like Chiropractic and Therapies.
