Bark Busters In-Home Dog Training - Fort Pierce, FL
Our training is based on dog psychology and natural canine communication (no treats required and no harmful or physical methods ever!). It's a unique method that was developed almost 30 years ago in Australia and has worked on over 1 million dogs. Our techniques utilize position, posture, movement and sound only and never include physical or painful methods such as shock collars, chokers, prong collars, alpha rolling etc. We start with social reorganization to make sure that your dog regards and responds to you as a leader. We then teach YOU how to to teach your dog a set of rules or a “code of conduct” that must be followed in your “pack”. Its essential that your dog sees you as the leader and not us so we teach in 3 steps. First, we teach you theory (why you would want to do this with your dog), then we demonstrate how to do exercises based on the theory and lastly, we shadow you doing the exercises with your dog. Because you are the one taking your dog through the exercises, he keys in on your leadership and your rules so that you can maintain control and leadership after we leave. By using natural canine communication and learning methods (the same way a mother teaches her pups), you will be able to teach your dog rules in seconds or minutes instead of weeks or months!
We are lifelong dog lovers and have been trained and mentored by the best of the best in the industry. Please do check out some of the work we’ve done lately (client reviews, updates, and photos of dogs we’ve worked with and what issues we’ve helped resolve):
Here is what to expect: We come to your home, and the first session is usually about 2 to 3 hours and includes assessment of dog's behavior and issues that you want addressed. We then provide a short lesson in dog behavior (how dogs live together in families and communicate). The lesson includes teaching you how to communicate right and wrong to your dog in a way that he understands and respects (without having to use treats or harm him in any way). We then teach you the exercises we'll use to establish you as "leader of the pack" and address the behavioral issues that you are experiencing by creating rules for your dog to follow. We'll practice those exercises together to make sure you doing them correctly and are comfortable with them. You will see a positive change in your dog during the first session. We'll give you everything written out in detail, so that you can practice on your own for 2 to 3 weeks (15 to 30 minutes a day). Then, you'll contact us and give us an update and schedule a follow up visit. During follow up sessions (usually 45 minutes to an hour), we can fine tune what you've already worked on and address any lingering issues or anything additional that you like. Our fee is $1,695 for adult dogs and $1,895 for puppies and aggression cases including tax and covers as many visits as you need, for the lifetime of the dog (plus $300 for each additional dog living in the home for the same life of the dog service). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are also offering deeply discounted REMOTE ONLY and LIVE/REMOTE combination packages. We provide every one of our clients with a written life of dog support guarantee so you can rest assured that we'll be there for you if you have any issues with your dog in the future.
For adult dogs, most clients are in a happy place within 1 to 3 visits, but as long as you are practicing and following the program, we will come back as many times as you need. For puppies, we recommend planning on 3 sessions for sure (the initial long session and 2 follow-ups - the scheduling of the follow-ups is left up to you when you are ready to move on). In either case, if a new behavioral issue develops, days weeks, months or years down the road, we come back free of charge.
Please let us know if you'd be interested in setting up a lesson, and we'll work you into our schedule as soon as possible. We are available on evenings and weekends (in addition to "normal" business hours) to work around our clients' busy schedules and to allow the whole family to be involved in the training. Feel free to contact us for more information or if you have questions. We would be happy to discuss in greater detail and help with any questions that you have. Please contact and book our private dog training services on Petworks. Thank You.
