What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Stop focusing on “fixing” the behavior and start understanding the why behind it. Most issues—pulling, barking, reactivity, accidents—are communication problems, not stubbornness. When you address the root cause (confusion, fear, lack of structure, unmet needs), the behavior changes naturally and more reliably. Consistency, clear expectations, and calm leadership will always outperform quick fixes.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
Every dog (and family) is different, so I take the time to understand why a behavior is happening and create a plan that works in your real life. That means realistic goals, clear communication, and real-world results—not quick fixes or cookie-cutter methods.

If ten stars were possible, I’d give that! I’m now after 6 years fully disabled and require a service animal to be with me at all times. Dave’s training and Hope’s huge heart and business savvy have made my life able to be in society and not homebound. Zoe, Roxie, Gracie and Marina are our Weimaraners that have benefited from their exceptional skill sets. There are no words of gratitude or recommendation that I can offer that even come close to the level of professionalism and results possible if you’re willing to do the work to partner with them the investment is next level phenomenal!!!! Zoe is full time with me and life is full of possibilities thanks to All American Dog Training.
- Lola AWhen we got our puppy she came with a lot of trust, aggression issues and biting and tried everything. We almost gave up and All American dog training was recommended to me I'm truly I didn't think anything would work but they changed our puppy's life. Now we are a happy family. Thank you Dave!
- Marta SWe had an absolutely amazing experience with All American Dog Training Academy. We had Dave as our trainer working with our reactive dog. Taking our dog outside and to the vet was a situation that would cause us and our dog Koda a lot of anxiety. Since the training everything has become a lot more manageable. While his reactivity isn't perfect, with the training, we have now learned his triggers and how to best help him. We are beyond thankful for Dave and this company!

The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards.
