We are a General, Integrative, Reproductive & Rehabilitation practice. Please use our online booking on our practice site. This allows our clients to chose which approach they are comfortable with and together we devise treatment, prevention and medical plan that suit the individual patient's needs as best possible. I'm an Elite Fear Free Certified veterinarian that practices ‘lifestyle Medicine’ as opposed to ‘cookie cutter’ style. Not every patient needs everything and not every patient needs the same. General practice has become the fast paced race against the clock today. Many of the patients I have seen over the years would have greatly benefitted from that extra ’floor time’ with me or the owners that extra time for ‘question answer time’. Being under the pressure of general practice; my patients and owners were underserved....this was my pivoting point. I realized I walked into this life of treating animals and educating their human counterparts to better their lives and improve their quality of it together. I was not able to achieve this in a general " Western" medicine setting. My appointments are based on my patients needs and how we can achieve them together as a whole; owner, patient and doctor together. Having a strong healthcare team with an owner that is educated about their pets specific situation by involving that owner will benefit not only the patient but the bond between them. This allows for a more complete approach to our pet's lives and overall wellbeing. Striving for not just quantity of life, but quality is key. Dr. Salvo is hands-down the best veterinarian we've ever had. We drive a long distance--past plenty of other vets--because we only trust her with our 8-year-old boxer, Maya. Finding Dr. Salvo was a turning point for us--and we actually have our daughter to thank. She discovered Dr. Salvo first and now brings her own dog, Luna (a beautiful brindle mix), for care as well. This is a family-level endorsement. Unlike other clinics where you feel rushed or pressured, Dr. Salvo schedules ample time for each visit and only sees one dog at a time. It makes a huge difference. She gives you her full attention, answers every question, and never makes you feel like just another appointment on the calendar. When other vets tried to shame us for not doing knee surgery on our girl, Dr. Salvo did the opposite. She walked us through all the options with empathy and clarity. We had already tried a brace--before we ever saw Dr. Salvo for the first time--and while it helped a lot, Maya still couldn't sit properly. Eventually, we invested in the Hero brace (the one Dr. Salvo originally recommended), and it made all the difference. We 100% recommend it. Along with the new brace, the targeted exercises and medication she prescribed really worked. Maya is finally sitting and moving with much more comfort and confidence. Dr. Salvo also trusts us to do our own injections at home, which saves time and stress--especially since I already do injections myself. That level of respect and partnership is rare. Her clinic is clean, calm, and has a cozy waiting room, though we usually just relax outside before the visit.
