Janet Kelley

I have known Janet for a few years now. I had a Golden Retriever and Chow Chow mix which I boarded with Janet from time to time. I now have a rescued a 2 year old Golden Retriever and I contacted Janet for boarding. After the first visit, we discussed doing some training (my dog hadn’t been trained it’s his previous home). After just a couple of lessons, both Bud and I are doing better. Janet earned the trust of Bud and he started behaving so much better. I learned how to work with him by watching and listening to what, why and how she does things. Bud loves going there and I know that she spends time with him and gives him a lot of love. I have boarded Bud with a couple other sitters, but never with such a positive experience.

My new rescue dog was "reactive" and snapped at adults who got too close to her in my home. After doing a lot of research, I was directed to Janet, who had a lot of experience dealing with behavioral issues. Janet's emphasis on positive training and encouragement turned out to be so beneficial for my dog. We only used a muzzle for the first training session. My dog loves working with Janet! It also amazes me how well my dog focuses on Janet during the training. We utilize both the indoor and outdoor training areas Janet has available. Janet bases her training on animal science and behavioral research and uses only positive reinforcement. She has sent me home with several helpful online resources from respected trainers which are also great. I highly recommend Janet! Your dog will love working with her and the cost for services are reasonable!

Our dog loves Janet! She is so gentle with our pet and she is very effective with her training. Our dog has come a long way and it’s thanks to her! Would recommend.

Janet has a wonderful rapport with my Poppy. Poppy has become a very polite happy girl and is always so excited when she sees Janet.
