What year did you begin serving pets?
Megan has worked professionally with animals since 2012, but formed Train Your Dog LLC in 2018
How did you hone your craft?
Megan got her start with dogs in 2012 after acquiring a fearful German Shepherd, who led her to positive reinforcement based dog training. Knowing that she needed more hands on experience, Megan began her career in animal sheltering. She spent the next 6+ years working in shelters, and learning everything she could about dog training and behavior. Megan worked in many different capacities between 3 shelters, but spent the majority of her career working with and rehabilitating at-risk shelter dogs.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Reward the behavior you want to see more often from your dog, and they will be more likely to repeat that behavior. Catch your dog doing something good!
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
You’re doing a great job with your dog, and we can’t wait to guide you on your training and behavior journey!
