We are a Los Angeles based dog training company that focuses on using reward-based training to teach your pet good manners and make following your lead fun!

First of all, I want to commend you for taking the first step and recognizing that you want change!

Behavioral problems are the number-one reason that dogs enter shelters today. Just the fact that you came to this website shows that you are interested in transforming your relationship with your pet. In just a few weeks, if you are very consistent and follow the program tailored for your family, you will see a change in your pet! My company's mission is for everyone to have a better, more enriching relationship with their pet. This relationship is built through trust and cooperation. Through your behavior your dog will learn to trust that if he cooperates he will be rewarded. Rewards can be something tangible that he needs (food, water, shelter, etc.), or something he wants (love, a toy thrown, etc.).

Your dog’s one job in life is to pay attention to you and follow the patterns of behavior YOU reinforce. Your one job is to reinforce the behaviors you want to stick around and redirect the ones you don’t like. If you keep this principle in the foreground of your mind you will see success. While my training programs can be rigorous, they are also very fair and never harsh. I want happy, tail-wagging participants! My ultimate goal is for you to have the lifestyle you have always desired with your pet.

Please contact and book us through Petworks. Have a great day!

Melissa is amazing and really knows what she's doing. My puppy is a high anxiety dog and cannot focus for more than a couple seconds but she did learn in Melissa's class. If you're looking for a kind, smart, knowledgeable trainer she's your gal! Oh by the way, I learned a lot too!! - San Fernando Valley, CA - January 2026

- Darlene M

Melissa is the real deal! I felt hopeless that no one would be able to help me with my reactive puppy but after only 2 private trainings with Melissa I already saw such a huge difference. She's also very flexible when you need to reschedule which is so nice ! Highly recommend! - Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, CA

- Felicia C

Melissa is an excellent instructor. She is very patient, and also knowledgeable about different dog breeds and their characteristics. Pedro, my Boston Terrier, I adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter, was better behaved after two weeks using the techniques Melissa recommended. Great class thru the City's Park& Recreation Dept. - Burbank, CA

- Ale H

I have taken Melissa's class now with two different dogs and can't recommend it enough! It's the best environment for socialization and training for your puppy. I have very well socialized dogs as well as obedient and loving. Can't recommend enough! - Burbank, California
